I had a great time with this family as I took them on a photography adventure through the field. I so wish I would have had my camera ready when Mr. C took a crash down the grassy hill….mental note: slick shoes & grassy fields don’t mix, he was a great sport about it & we all got a good laugh out of it! I could not have asked for a more beautiful weekend than what we just had, especially after the cold, gray, snowy weekends we seemed to be having continuously these past few weeks. I had the pleasure of meeting this adorable family for an outdoor shoot which I was SOOOOOO excited about, its seems like it’s been forever since I’ve been able to hold an outdoor session. I have been super busy since the new year changing things around a bit behind the scenes. I apologize for my lack of blogging or if I seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth, but I promise I’m still here and business is going to be better than ever once I hit the ground running in the next month. With our move back to Concord, from Greensboro, last summer I’ve had to start all over and work to rebuild my clientele which is no easy task. This move has taught me quite a bit and in a good way.
I apologize to any clients that my boudoir posts may offend or make feel uncomfortable. I have a new site underway for my boudoir photography so that it doesn’t turn any prospective clients away who are interested in family, child, newborn, or maternity sessions. I had played with photography throughout my life but I OFFICIALLY founded and registered Heather Love Photography in June 2008 as a child, family, newborn, and maternity photographer. I need to keep my roots separate from other areas of photography that I have ventured into that could make some people feel uneasy. I feel that boudoir may be a bit misunderstood but please note that the boudoir photography that I offer is very tasteful, classy, fun, modern, flirty, and is captured in lingerie. I feel that every woman, especially mommies, deserves to have a day to be pampered and feel like a supermodel. This is why I fell in love with boudoir photography, it’s about making women feel beautiful and it gives them a chance to let their beauty shine (not to mention it is a great gift for a significant other)
With all of that said, I love all of my clients and I look forward to comments and feedback once all of my changes are in full effect. Have a fabulous Monday!

I absolutely can not say enough great things about this couple and their family (who you will see in an upcoming post) They truly love and enjoy being around one other. I love to see a family who has a connection like they have, full of smiles, laughter, fun, and kindness. For now enjoy the pictures of this lovely couple (and Mrs. G’s love for shoes, she has an amazing shoe collection). Be sure to check back for more pictures from their family session.
Lets do something to help- Haiti Relief
Watching and hearing the terrible news about the tragic situation in Haiti really pulls at my heart, I wish that there was more that I could do personally to help the situation. If I had the availability and I knew I wouldn’t have an emotional break down, I would be there in person to lend a helping hand, however, that’s not the situation, so I have joined in on a grassroots movement of photographers across America to help out in the way that we can. Here’s the scoop:
You and your sweetheart could win a romantic photo session in the heart of downtown Concord or Charlotte (depending upon winners location)
Or one lucky family will win a family session at a location to be announced.
- This session will be photographed the evening of Saturday, February 6th.
- Session will last approximately 1-2 hours.
- Winner will also receive 25 fully processed, high resolution images on CD. Print to your heart’s content!
How to win:
- Make a MINIMUM donation of $10 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund &
forward a copy of your receipt to heatherlovephotography @gmail.com - All entries must be RECEIVED by midnight (eastern time) on January 29th.
- Winner will be drawn at random and announced on January 30th.
(That gives you a week to shop and find a babysitter, if need be.
You can enter as many times as you’d like, but each entry must be the minimum $10 donation.)
Other details:
- Session participants must sign a model release.
- Session must be held in Concord or Charlotte on Feb. 6th.
- If the winner does not claim his/her prize by Feb. 1st or cannot claim the prize, then another winner will be drawn.

It’s a rare occasion that my little one will actually let me photograph her but today she was being super sweet so I decided to give it a shot. It was a beautiful warm sunny day out so we couldn’t let it go to waste..and sure enough she showed off for the camera
